Personifying God's Word

Scriptural Meanings of Colors

Throughout the Bible, certain colors have a symbolic significance. Isaiah 1:18 uses the color, crimson (red), to describe sins that were noticeable and extremely difficult to remove. And the color white, to describe sins being washed away as if they were never there.

In the same way, as we use certain colors in our worship, we are declaring certain attributes of God’s nature and character to all those around us. For example, when we use the color purple, we not only declare God’s glory and majesty to other people, but also to principalities and powers of Satan.

Colors tell a story and the color of an item gives us a wealth of information about it before one word is spoken. Using symbolic colors can be a significant addition to your ministry unto the Lord.
